Midterm Blog Post

The projects that I have made are a Peacock platter, salt and pepper shakers, and a slab house. Out of the three, I like my slab house the most because I felt that I pushed myself the most on it. I didnt like my salt and pepper shakers and my platter because I glazed unevenly and because not all sides of both projects are even so I think they look messy. My slab house is more successful because I found this project to be the most exciting and interesting, I really wanted to make it look good. I'm proud of the craftsmanship of my house and how I carved out my peacock, but my salt and pepper shakers could have been better.  The salt and pepper shakers were didficult for me to make but I could have made them better taking my time.

Midterm Blog Post

The projects that I have made are a book sculpture, zentangle drawing, and a metal pin. The project that I like the most is my book sculpture, and then my zentangle looks good but not my best work, and my pin i do not like at all. My book sculpture is most successful to me because I had an idea when l first got started and I work better with paper than metal. I'm not pleased with the craftsmanship done on my pin but I am pleased with the book sculpture and zentangle. The pin was difficult to make, i think it could have improved if i had more time to so it because I felt that I was rushing to finish it. For my book sculpture, i felt l could have came up with a better scene, something more unique than a graveyard. I am proud of my work when I look at it when I'm done, I feel satisfaction, and since I don't like some of my work, i know that I can always improve when it comes to the next project. For next semester, I would like to work with paper mâché again, I would like to make a masquerade mask.
